Amerigo Technology Chooses Kanda to Develop Game-Changing Orthodontics Application

Kanda Software, in partnership with Amerigo Technology, was chosen as the development partner for Amerigo’s orthodontic lab client, NeoLab. NeoLab is disrupting the decades-old process of delivering orthodontic appliances (aka braces and retainers) from the office to the lab and back using imaging technology, 3D modeling and printing and digital archiving.

Kanda was originally selected to participate in the product discovery process and later in the software deliverable because of our focus on client communication, documentation, architecture, development, and QA services delivery.

The project scope included rewriting NeoLab’s online prescription portal and integrating it with the ortho industry’s leading lab prescription software. The project required development of a web application for the administration, case management, and dashboards for desktop users, and an Android mobile app for technicians to use with NeoLab supplied tablets.

Additionally, the project required integration with third-party billing and payments solutions, and UPS pack/ship capabilities. As a provider to physicians and their clients, the system had to be HIPAA compliant with role-based access control (RBAC), and encryption at rest and in transit system-wide.

Kanda has previously worked with many digital health clients in the areas of mobile app development, bioinformatics, clinical data reporting and analytics, and electronic health records / electronic medical records (EHR/EMR) platform integration. We understand the challenges associated with HIPAA/ regulatory compliance and ensuring end-to-end security and privacy.
